Jane's Walks in NYC today, tomorrow and Sunday
Jane Jacobs Walk is a program of the Center for the Living City, a nonprofit organization created by people who knew (urban activist)  Jane Jacobs and were fortunate enough to call her a friend.  As an organization we celebrate her life and legacy by helping people organize walks in their communities around the time of Jacobs’ birthday in early May and year round.  (Jane Jacobs Walk)

For more information about this weekend's walks, visit the Municipal Art Society site here.  All walks are free, and pre-registration is not required.

Tours include Lost & Found Murals of East Harlem,  Store Front: the Disappearing Face of New York,  1920s and 1930s Bronx Apartment Heaven,  East New York: Past, Present and Future ... Frontier!,  Inwood Hill Old Forest: Biodiversity Walk,  The Past & Future for Stapleton,  Queens International Night Market, and #Save NYC: Hyper-Gentrification & Appropriation on the Bowery.

And on the other hand:
Change in Federal Law Could Boost Foreign Investment in NYC
A newly proposed federal law would increase the appeal of investing in U.S. real estate for foreigners by eliminating certain taxes at a time when foreign investment is already on the rise. (The Real Deal)
