Two Blocks

On 52nd between 9th & Fort Hamilton pillared brick rowhouse turns to barrel-fronted limestone - the block a paragon of understated dignity.  As it approaches Tenth, you'll see that one of the residents has decided to let loose and liven things up a bit

At Tenth, the street hits a grand note:

Turn down Tenth & head left at 51st (opposite La Strada pizzeria) and you couldn't find a more different streetscape. At the corner, a box of an apartment building houses a Pain Management Center, and the block reveals pairs of bricky (30s?) semis, some with tacked-on balconies as heavily railinged as jail cells. Hellzapoppin' on 51st, as a building boom is pushing the housing up, up, up.
