Biding Time

Better covered up than gone.  Two old houses, on adjacent blocks, were given the brickface treatment in recent decades.  On 23rd Street, the steeply pitched roofline of the house was altered, to raise the ceilings on the second floor

and on 22nd, the porch vanished.  Is that painted cornice hidden underneath the siding?
