Storage

The Three Towers at 6th & Second add a certain dypstopian grandeur to the landscape. You wouldn't guess just by looking, but they're part of a new storage facility.going up here.  I've no idea what function the towers serve in the construction. Maybe some kind of elevator shafts, but the openings seem a little weird.  Right now there's an SWO slapped on the job, with a partial lift to allow for emergency shoring, so it may be a while before the rest of the building work absorbs these gloomy structures.

You couldn't call the towers attractive, but I bet they're more interesting to look at than the completed storage facility will ever be.  And they made me think back to other containers - the vanished Burns Brothers coal pockets, that once stood right down the block.
