Love this kind of history. Do you remember, the cartoonist, his last name was Knipl or something like that? He followed the life of a supply man working the streets of 50s 60s NYC. Long running series I don't see anymore

Julius Knipl, Real Estate Photographer, by Ben Katchor! I think of him a lot, especially on Mid-town side streets, where there are still some curious old businesses left, and under the elevated tracks in Brooklyn & Queens.
