Houses of Worship, Hillside Avenue

Yesterday I saw this sign, just off Hillside Avenue, and realised that rediscovery wasn't really an option for me.  I hadn't even really begun to discover Jamaica yet.  This seemed pathetic.  Sure, I've sometimes had lunch on the courtroom steps, down on Sutphin Boulevard (I'm funny about courthouses), visited a couple of the Sri Chinmoy eating places on Parsons, & grabbed a pupusa now and again.  And yes, I've commuted on the F to Sutphin for years.  My lunch break is never really long enough to do much exploring though, and at the end of the day I just rush off home. I guess I've been a little lazy, and no-one else at work seems very interested in local ephemera.   Anyway, I've decided to get out every Friday and take a few pictures of the neighborhood.  I'll be restricted to a forty five minute outing, so I'll have to be speedy.

Here are several of the religious establishments close to the F station.

I split the next one into two shots, because I couldn't get close enough.  In the summer I'm getting one of those big, fancy SLR cameras.  It will make me look like a bit of an idiot, but should improve picture quality.

Nice shots, I've never been to that part of town.
