Ohhh, the 'portal' is to a Gaudiya Vaishnava temple it seems (Hindu). If you visit there around dinner time on Sundays you'll probably hear festive chanting and music coming from inside.

Thankyou! I thought it might be a temple, but couldn't find out anything about it. I'll try and go by on a Sunday.
