26th

26th Street runs downhill from the cemetery.  On the corners at Fifth: Aladdin Bakers, & La Nortena nightclub.  The block down to Fourth is a mixture of home & industry, with the most of the houses  - largely frame - on the southern side.  The houses hug the sidewalk. Opposite, a couple of freestanding pitched-roofers look older, but vinyl shields any traces of age on their facades.  Paul's Signs is here, along with another shuttered sign store (Sign & Storefront), & Union Windows & Doors ("Ask for Jimmy").  On the wall of a small warehouse a handwritten sign offers Live Fresh Off Boat Lobster.  Al-Saedi grocery anchors the southeast corner at Fourth, merchant in a corner apartment building where the paintwork is a glossy robin egg's hue. On the side of the building, printed on on an awning of a deeper blue: Kira Xeni.
On a broad lot at 214 - 218, approval is pending for a new manufacturing building, and on the other side of the street, there are several smaller parking lots.  In one of them, a green Chevy Malibu 350 has been resting for some time.

The Chevy is beautiful, and I like the evidence of a stairway on the building behind it. Maybe a stair up to a second unit?

Yes, maybe it's an add-on extension covering what was once an external stairway? I like the Chevy too!
