Back at the Corner of Fifth & 11th

We shouldn't, but it's just around the corner.  We keep meaning to ignore it, but we pass it by several times a day.  So. Let's put our face to the window & look at the new Skylark bar.  A perfectly anonymous space, with all the charm of an airport lounge.  A perfect spot for a glass of wine, or a carefully curated craft beer.  Beautiful, beautiful Fifth.

And while we're here, let's go back in time a bit.  Say three or four months?

Ugh! The old place had so much more character!

All the charm of an airport lounge...sigh, yes, and there are so many of these now, you wouldn't know which airport or city you're in.

Oh dear god, no. Aside from Smith's at 9th and 5th Avenue, there's really no decent place on 5th Avenue in the Slope anymore. The tap beer at Timboo's sucked, but the ambiance was irreplaceable.
