One More Folded Sunset Park

A perfect place to be when it's still in the 60s in late November.  Lots of parents playing ball with the kids, some bubble-blowing, a man sound asleep in the grass, someone hanging out at an upper-floor window, and far in the distance, a ferry & other water vessels sliding through the water.

Wonderful photography, I love the sky in the top photo. This is crazy weather, but for once I'm not complaining!

The hill and buildings in teh first photo really remind me of Blackheath, London. I still have yet to explore Sunset Park.

Actually, check that - not Blackheath, but Hilly Fields in Brockley where there is a view of the Millennium Dome and Greenwich.

My dad grew up in Blackheath & Charlton. I think you would enjoy visiting Sunset Park. It's a bit melancholy at times, what with the cemetery & the wistful views, but also lovely in terms of families, the park, music, foodcarts, lovely old store signs, fantastic Mexican & Puerto Rican food, its Chinatown, the remnants of its Scandinavian past, the murky waterfront area, etc. etc.

Wow, I stood in practically the same spot you must have been standing on to take that photo of the Manhattan skyline. A former coworker used to live a block away from the park and when I went to her apartment one day to pick up a tv set, I took the time to explore the park and the view. Your photo brings back a nice, eight year old memory!
